Job Summary

The Medical Hemodialysis Nurse Specialist will be responsible for providing professional nursing care to patients undergoing hemodialysis treatments. This includes assessing patient needs, developing and implementing individualized care plans, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, monitoring vital signs, and performing laboratory tests as needed.
  • Assess patient needs and develop individualized care plans to meet those needs.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurses, and technicians, to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient care, including progress notes and treatment plans.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current on best practices and new technologies in hemodialysis care.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in Nursing (RN) from an accredited institution.
  • Licensure to practice nursing in the state where you will be working.
  • At least 9 months of experience in a hemodialysis setting, preferably with chronic/acute hemodialysis experience.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • A strong commitment to delivering high-quality patient care and a passion for staying current on best practices in hemodialysis care.
Estimated Salary

$65,000 - $85,000 per year, based on location and experience.
