Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Cemetery Counselor Clerk to join our team at ALTA MESA IMPROVEMENT CO. As a key member of our staff, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to families and individuals in need of cemetery services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Meet with Families: Conduct meetings with families to arrange cemetery services, including graveside and memorial services, and ensure that all necessary documents and permits are completed in a timely manner.
  • Coordinate Services: Assist with setting up services on site, including arranging floral displays, managing guest flow, and coordinating with clergy, funeral homes, and families to ensure a smooth and respectful process.
  • Property Selection: Assist families in selecting property for their loved ones, providing guidance and support throughout the process.
  • Administrative Tasks: Complete all necessary paperwork and administrative tasks related to cemetery services, including maintaining accurate records and reports.
Requirements
  • Experience: 1 year of experience in the cemetery industry, with a strong understanding of cemetery operations and services.
  • License: Possession of a valid driver's license and the ability to qualify for a Cemetery Salesperson License with the state of California.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with families, clergy, and other stakeholders.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8am - 4:30pm, with occasional Saturdays and Sundays as required.
