Job Summary

As an Intake Specialist, you will be the first point of contact for Afghan clients, providing essential information and support to help them navigate our services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide culturally sensitive and linguistically appropriate services to Afghan clients
  • Answer telephone inquiries and respond to client requests
  • Assist clients with completing intake forms and ensuring all necessary documentation is obtained
  • Record and maintain accurate and up-to-date client records
  • Coordinate with the AP department regarding landlord/vendor documentation
  • Assist in application close-out and client exit letters/surveys
Requirements
  • Associate degree (AA) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, plus two to three years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • At least two years of experience working with refugees, immigrants, and/or other migrants to provide culturally and linguistically appropriate services preferred
  • Knowledge of the resources and providers available within the community/county to assist migrant families
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and high standards of quality
  • Ability to use electronic case management database/software with the facility
  • Ability to work independently and in a team setting
  • Proficiency in all Microsoft Office programs, particularly Excel
