ECMO Team Leader

We are seeking a highly skilled ECMO Manager to lead our Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation (ECMO) team at Ascension Seton, a leading healthcare provider in Austin, Texas.
Job OverviewThis is a full-time opportunity that comes with a competitive salary of approximately $120,000 per year, depending on experience. As an ECMO Manager, you will be responsible for the daily operations and activities of the ECMO team, ensuring the highest level of patient care and safety.
About the Role- Manage the daily activities and operations of the ECMO team, including collaborating on problem identification and resolution, cost containment issues, implementation of new services, and system/performance measures.
- Develop and implement new ideas that support project work streams and clinical teams, promoting efficiency and quality patient care.
- Monitor anticoagulation, electrolyte, acid-base balance and blood-gas composition values and adjust ECMO circuit to maintain physician's orders, ensuring accurate and timely treatment.
- Generate and compile appropriate documentation and charges related to ECMO, maintaining accurate records and facilitating reimbursement.
- Precept new team members, sharing your expertise and knowledge to ensure seamless integration and high-quality care.
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 month of hire date or job transfer date required, American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
- One or more of the following required: Perfusionist, Registered Nurse credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing, Respiratory Care Practitioner credentialed from the National Board for Respiratory Care, or Respiratory Therapist credentialed from the Texas Medical Board.
- High School diploma equivalency with 3 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree with 2 years of experience OR 7 years of applicable cumulative job-specific experience required. 3 years of leadership or management experience preferred.
