Management Development Trainee

McCoy's Building Supply is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Management Development Trainee. This role is designed to provide hands-on experience and training in retail operations, with a focus on developing the skills and knowledge necessary to succeed in a management position.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in the daily operations of a retail store, including receiving and processing inventory, managing cash handling and sales transactions, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment.
- Develop a working knowledge of all retail store and assistant manager responsibilities, including operations, customer service, and sales.
- Participate in training sessions and workshops to learn about company policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Assist customers with purchases and resolve customer complaints in a professional and courteous manner.
- Operate a forklift and other equipment as needed.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree in business administration or related field preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers, colleagues, and management.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for prolonged periods.
- Availability to work a variety of shifts, including evenings and weekends.
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
