Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Chemical and Materials Scientist to join our team in Sidney, Ohio. As a key member of our global chemistry solutions team, you will provide expert support for manufacturing process chemistry issues, collaborate with regional labs, and engage with chemical suppliers to ensure effective use of chemicals for HVACR component manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop test plans and protocols to evaluate manufacturing process chemicals.
  • Collaborate with regional Materials Engineering Labs and global manufacturing facilities to provide support for manufacturing process chemistry issues.
  • Engage with chemical suppliers to ensure effective use of chemicals for HVACR component manufacturing.
  • Study and understand technical information specific to chemicals, processing methods, and equipment.
  • Participate in technical review and safety teams to provide risk assessment and recommendations.
  • Engage in industry trade and regulatory associations specific to materials and product testing.
  • Create technical reports to communicate results to internal and external teams.
Requirements:
  • BS in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of related chemical or engineering experience.
  • Experience with working in a laboratory using benchtop analytical and wet chemistry techniques.
  • Ability to effectively communicate to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Advanced degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of related chemical or engineering experience.
  • Experience with chemical process systems used in manufacturing and production.
