About the Role At Highspot, you will collaborate with a passionate team of Engineers, UX Designers, and Product Managers to create new data analytics functionalities that enhance our customers' experiences while maintaining the stability, reliability, and scalability of our trusted platform. We are seeking a Lead Frontend Engineer with a strong background in client-side analytics and data visualization to join our Analytics team. You will take a pivotal role in shaping the future of our web application by leveraging your extensive technical knowledge and enthusiasm for addressing complex engineering challenges. You will explore and propose industry standards, best practices, and emerging technologies to ensure we deliver software that delights our customers. Currently at Highspot
  • Our development stack includes JavaScript, React, Redux, Ruby, and SASS.
  • We utilize tools such as Webpack, Jest, Babel, ESLint, Prettier, and TestCafe.
What You'll Do
  • Collaborate with a cross-functional team of Engineers, a UX Designer, and a Product Manager.
  • Continuously deliver enhancements and new data visualization features to our Analytics platform using agile methodologies.
  • Master our development processes, culture, and codebase, and work with the team to enhance it through mentorship, encouragement, and inspiration for developers at all levels.
  • Drive excellence in technical and user experience through your designs and feedback via peer mentorship, code reviews, and collaboration with your cross-functional team.
  • Create architecture and design documentation.
Your Background
  • 8+ years of experience in developing cross-browser, highly interactive web applications using frontend technologies.
  • Extensive experience and expert knowledge of modern web technologies, including JavaScript, React, Redux, and SASS.
  • Utilize your data visualization expertise to develop interactive analytics features that empower our customers to uncover new insights from their data.
  • Experience in automated testing, including unit and end-to-end testing frameworks such as Jest, Jasmine, JSUnit, and Selenium.
  • An entrepreneurial mindset: agile, creative, resourceful, and persistent in solving problems and achieving team and company objectives.
  • Strong communication skills to articulate complex technical concepts.
Base salary range: $167,826 - $252,174. Employees may also be eligible for bonuses, stock options, and other forms of compensation.
The above represents total expected compensation for this role. Actual compensation will depend on various job-related factors, including, but not limited to, location, experience, and job qualifications.
