Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Diagnostic Medical Sonographer to join our team at Prisma Health. As a key member of our Radiology department, you will be responsible for providing diagnostic patient care services using diagnostic medical sonography.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform high-quality ultrasound procedures using independent judgment to accurately differentiate between normal and pathological findings.
  • Analyze sonograms, synthesizing sonographic information and medical history, and communicate findings to physicians.
  • Ensure patient comfort and satisfaction by maintaining a clean and organized environment, and providing excellent customer service.
  • Operate PACS systems, verify studies, and ensure that all appropriate consents are signed.
  • Maintain knowledge of HIPAA mandates, departmental policies, and Prisma Health guidelines.
  • Participate in mentoring newly hired sonographers, instructing sonography students, and evaluating student progress.
Requirements
  • Credentialed Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS).
  • BLS certification.
  • Basic computer skills, knowledge of office equipment, and data entry experience.
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
