Diagnostic Medical Sonographer - Ultrasound Technologist

Johns Hopkins Medicine is seeking a skilled Diagnostic Medical Sonographer - Ultrasound Technologist to join their team. As a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer, you will be responsible for operating sonographic equipment and performing diagnostic examinations using sonography. This role requires a strong understanding of sonographic principles and techniques, as well as excellent communication skills to effectively communicate results to patients and healthcare teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate sonographic equipment to perform diagnostic examinations
  • Communicate results to patients and healthcare teams
  • Develop and maintain a strong understanding of sonographic principles and techniques
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure high-quality patient care

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an accredited Medical Sonography Program
  • One (1) year of ultrasound technologist experience preferred
  • Current Registry with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) with at least one ARDMS clinical certification in abdomen or OB/GYN
  • Current CPR certification or to be completed by the end of orientation
  • Current credentials as a Registered Vascular Technologist preferred
