About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Housekeeping Specialist at Sopris Lodge at Carbondale. As a key member of our facilities team, you will play a critical role in maintaining a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for our residents and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure that all areas of the facility are maintained in a clean and sanitary condition, adhering to federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Coordinate daily housekeeping services with nursing staff to ensure a seamless and efficient cleaning process.
  • Perform routine cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and sanitizing, to maintain a high level of cleanliness and hygiene.
  • Restock supplies and maintain housekeeping carts and utility closets in a clean and organized manner.
  • Report any maintenance or repair needs to the facilities team in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Assist with the evacuation of residents during emergency situations, if necessary.
Requirements
  • Bilingual skills in English and Spanish are preferred.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects, up to 25 pounds, and push/pull objects up to 50 feet.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with residents, staff, and visitors.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
Working Environment

This is a fast-paced and dynamic environment, with frequent interruptions and interactions with residents, staff, and visitors. The successful candidate must be able to work effectively in a team-oriented setting, with a focus on providing exceptional customer service and maintaining a high level of cleanliness and hygiene.
