Key Responsibilities:
  1. Transactional Posting & Journal Entries:

Prepare, review, and post journal entries in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Ensure accurate and timely recording of financial transactions. Review general ledger accounts and correct journal entries for accuracy.

  1. Reconciliations:

Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual account reconciliations. Resolve discrepancies by investigating documentation, ensuring that all reconciling items are cleared in a timely manner. Prepare, review, and reconcile balance sheet accounts to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data.

  1. Cash Application:

Oversee the cash application process, depositing cash receipts (including collections) and applying payments to the appropriate customer accounts. Ensure that all cash application transactions are accurately recorded and discrepancies are addressed promptly. Work closely with the accounts receivable team to ensure timely and accurate processing of payments.

  1. Collections:

Manage and monitor the collections process to ensure timely receipt of outstanding receivables. Communicate with customers to resolve billing discrepancies and address payment issues. Collaborate with internal departments to streamline the collections process and improve cash flow.

  1. Support Functions:

Support Financial Reporting and Analysis: Assist in the preparation and review of financial statements, provide variance analysis. Ensure accounting practices align with GAAP. Identify and execute solutions to discrepancies in financial records.

Qualifications:

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Associate Accountant with a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in public accounting. Proficiency in Great Plains and Intacct accounting systems is required. Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting principles is essential. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills are necessary. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment is required. Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams are essential.
