Key Responsibilities
  • Support the credit process by collecting financial information from clients and prospects, preparing and submitting credit packages for approval, and working with Relationship Managers to draft term sheets and loan proposals.
  • Assist in structuring and underwriting, reviewing loan documents for accuracy, and managing upcoming maturities, past dues, and documentation exceptions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify sales opportunities and develop business strategies.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, business, economics, accounting, or a related field, or an Associate's degree in a business or finance-related field with 3 additional years of experience in commercial credit or real estate analysis.
  • 10 years of experience in portfolio management and commercial underwriting, including structuring and pricing loan transactions, with a strong understanding of commercial lending, various industries, and loan structures.
  • Extensive knowledge of commercial credit risk, laws, and regulations, as well as company and business line policies and procedures.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship development skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with individuals and groups across the company.
  • Well-developed written communication and verbal presentation skills, with proficiency in credit underwriting, cash flow, and collateral analysis.
Preferred Qualifications
  • MBA or master's degree in a related field.
  • Formal credit training or certification, such as the Risk Management Association Credit Risk Certification (CRC) or the Certified Credit Professional (CCP) designation.
  • Industry knowledge of asset-based lending, government contract lending, merger and acquisition financing, non-profit, middle market, highly leveraged transactions, general C&I, and/or special assets.
