Per Diem Employee Health Nurse

Job SummaryThe Employee Health Nurse will play a critical role in promoting, coordinating, and administering all aspects of occupational health services for healthcare professionals in our facility. This includes employees and non-employees working in the facility, such as students, volunteers, and credentialed staff.
Responsibilities- Develop and implement occupational health programs to promote a safe and healthy work environment
- Conduct health assessments and provide medical care to employees and non-employees as needed
- Collaborate with Human Resources, Nursing, and Infection Control to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and organizational policies
- Provide education and training to employees on occupational health and safety topics
- Maintain accurate records and reports related to occupational health services
- Current CA RN or LVN licensure
- Current BLS Provider certification
- Previous experience in a hospital setting
- Knowledge of occupational health practices, transitional work, early safe return to work, and safety wellness programs
- Knowledge of HIPAA
- Certified Occupational Health Nurse certification
- 2-3 years employee health experience in a hospital setting
- Knowledge of University and medical center organizations, policies, procedures, and forms
The Employee Health Nurse will work in a fast-paced environment and must be able to multitask, prioritize tasks, and maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. The nurse must also be able to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the health system.
