We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our Philanthropy and Marketing team as the Director of Corporate and Foundation Grants. This is a key leadership role that requires a strong understanding of grant writing, research, and development, as well as excellent communication and project management skills.
Key Responsibilities- Grant Development: Develop and implement a comprehensive grant development strategy to secure funding from corporate and foundation sources.
- Research and Writing: Conduct thorough research to identify potential funding opportunities and write high-quality grant proposals that meet the requirements of corporate and foundation funders.
- Project Management: Manage multiple grant projects simultaneously, ensuring timely submission of proposals and reports, and maintaining accurate records and tracking systems.
- Communication and Collaboration: Collaborate with program management, fiscal teams, and other stakeholders to develop proposals that are aligned with program operations and organizational plans for growth.
- Reporting and Evaluation: Provide regular grant activity reports to the Board of Directors, Foundation Board, and management, and evaluate the effectiveness of grant programs and make recommendations for improvement.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in social work, criminal justice, counseling, public health, English, journalism, humanities, or related field.
- Experience: At least three years of experience in grant writing, with a successful record of preparing large, complex grant proposals that resulted in awarded funds.
- Skills and Abilities: Excellent writing, analytical, and critical thinking skills; strong research skills; ability to work effectively in a team environment; and strong initiative and enthusiasm.
- Master's degree in social work, criminal justice, public health, counseling, English, journalism, humanities, or related field.
- Knowledge of formal argument/rhetoric strategies.
- Ability to use Raiser's Edge.
This is a full-time position that requires a high level of professionalism, punctuality, flexibility, and reliability. The successful candidate will be able to work cooperatively and effectively as part of an interdisciplinary team and independently assume responsibility.
