Inventory Control Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Inventory Control Specialist to join our team at Maxime's in New York. This role will support the procurement and stock control functions of our esteemed establishment by ensuring efficient ordering, accurate stock management, and timely replenishment.

Job Responsibilities

The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with our kitchen, bar, and front-of-house teams to manage inventory levels, assist in ordering, and liaise with suppliers to ensure seamless operations. Key responsibilities include:

  • Demonstrating a solid understanding of the Stock system (Tevalis)
  • Updating pricing and creating new products
  • Tracking and recording product & price discrepancies for all food & beverage suppliers
  • Working closely with Suppliers; becoming the primary contact for general supplier maintenance
  • Matching signed delivery notes and invoices and approving on Tevalis
  • Raising credit notes as required
  • Ensuring all orders are loaded onto Tevalis by working day two ahead of the month end close
  • Managing transfers within Tevalis prior to the monthly stock count
  • Loading stock count as part of the month end
  • Collaborating with the IT Manager to troubleshoot issues by leveraging knowledge of system integrations

In addition to these responsibilities, the Inventory Control Specialist will work as a liaison between the Kitchen and Finance teams, assisting in a smooth month end close. They will also report on insights from stock and purchase analysis to affected stakeholders, including analysis of expected margins vs actual margins. The successful candidate will be proactive, self-directed, and able to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
