Washington University School of Medicine is seeking a highly qualified Associate Medical Director for Infection Prevention to join our team.

About the Role

The Associate Medical Director for Infection Prevention will provide strategic leadership to support the Division of Infectious Diseases in managing and growing the infection prevention program in both inpatient and outpatient settings. The successful candidate will work closely with the Medical Director of Infection Prevention, a robust team of Healthcare Epidemiologists and Infection Preventionists, and other relevant teams and councils as needed.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical and epidemiologic guidance to other relevant teams and councils as needed
  • Collaborate closely with a team of healthcare epidemiologists and mentor ID fellows who are on the Healthcare Epidemiology fellowship training track
  • Participate in teaching and research activities in the ID division, attend on the ID consult service, and provide other patient care activities as needed
Requirements

The ideal candidate will be board certified/board eligible in Infectious Diseases and eligible for a medical license in Missouri. Additional qualifications in clinical research or epidemiology would be an asset.
