The National Association of Manufacturers (NAM) is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to serve as the Director of Sustainability and Environmental Policy. This role will be responsible for developing and implementing policies that promote sustainable practices and environmental stewardship in the manufacturing sector.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of environmental and sustainability issues, as well as experience in policy development and advocacy. They will be able to analyze complex data and develop effective strategies to promote the NAM's policy goals.

This position will work closely with the NAM's membership, policymakers, and other stakeholders to advance the organization's policy objectives. The successful candidate will be a strong communicator and team player who is able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement policies that promote sustainable practices and environmental stewardship in the manufacturing sector.
  • Work closely with the NAM's membership, policymakers, and other stakeholders to advance the organization's policy objectives.
  • Develop effective strategies to promote the NAM's policy goals.
  • Communicate complex data and policy information to various audiences.
  • Collaborate with other departments within the NAM to ensure that policy development and advocacy work are aligned with overall organizational goals and objectives.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 8+ years of related Capitol Hill, Executive Branch and/or Association policy development experience.
  • Exceptional understanding of legislative and regulatory processes.
  • Excellent communications skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, quality and goal-driven environment.

Salary Range:

$106,000 - $140,000 annually. This salary range represents a good faith estimate of the lowest to the highest salary for this position. The final salary offered will be based on qualifications and experience.
