We are in search of Calibration Field Service Specialists at various experience levels to become part of our team at Aldinger Co., a prominent provider of calibration services.

Experience in our field is not mandatory, and training will be offered upon hiring, making this role suitable for both entry-level candidates and those with experience.

Work Location:
On-site at various customer locations, including scheduled overnight travel (approximately 2 overnights per week) ~ 40% overnight travel.

Key Responsibilities:


In this position, you will carry out job functions with minimal supervision in an industry-leading mobile laboratory, manufacturing production areas, and laboratory settings.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:

- Conduct calibrations and measurements using appropriate reference standards. Equipment ranges from general-purpose hand tools to custom measurement fixtures.

Areas of Expertise Include:
- Torque, Force, Pressure, Electronics, Temperature/Humidity, and Dimensional Metrology

- Basic troubleshooting and operational checks of equipment

- Input calibration results into calibration tracking/documentation software

- Collaborate with the technical champion and scheduling team to plan and resolve scheduling conflicts as needed

- Maintain daily communication with customer contacts to identify and understand calibration requirements

- Communicate daily with the technical team regarding customer calibration status, scheduling issues, and improvement opportunities

- Inform the sales team of new tool sales opportunities from customers

- Safely transport and operate mobile calibration laboratories to and from customer locations in compliance with state and local motor vehicle laws

- Complete driving logs and DOT paperwork as necessary

- Set up, dismantle, and perform routine maintenance of the mobile laboratory as required

- Regular travel to off-site locations with prescheduled overnight stays up to 40% of the time

Qualifications:

- Must possess a valid driver's license and maintain a clean driving record

- Comfortable driving larger vehicles, such as box trucks

- Capable of lifting 50 lbs

- Excellent customer service skills

- Strong organizational and prioritization abilities

- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills

- Willingness to travel to customer locations and occasional overnight out-of-state travel, requiring regular travel to off-site locations with prescheduled overnight stays up to 40% of the time.

Preferred Qualifications (not mandatory):

- Experience as a calibration technician, machinist, service technician, quality assurance, engineering, or other technical trades

- Calibration experience or related use of measurement tools: Micrometers, Torque Wrenches, Fluke Meters, etc.

- Knowledge of principles, procedures, methods, and techniques in metrology gained through education or professional experience

- Familiarity with Electrical, Physical, and/or Mechanical Calibration of equipment

- Mechanical or electrical knowledge or similar

- Associate's Degree in Engineering, Electronics, or other Technical Fields

- Military PMEL Training

- Metrology experience

- Experience with IndySoft

- Experience as a delivery driver

- CDL – Class B
