Job Summary

The Technical Training Specialist I is responsible for delivering high-quality training to maintenance technicians on MPI's/SWI's and maintenance processes, ensuring they have the necessary skills to perform their duties effectively. This role involves developing and facilitating training plans, tracking technical training, and supporting continuous improvement projects within the maintenance department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Training maintenance technicians on MPI's/SWI's and maintenance processes
  • Development and facilitation of training plans
  • Tracking of technical training and training record management
  • Supporting continuous improvement projects and attending meetings
  • Work with the team to improve and complete 6S projects
  • Assisting with new hire orientation and onboarding for maintenance technicians
  • Asset management data entry and training
  • Continuous improvement and support of peer trainer system
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Associates Degree or equivalent work experience in a manufacturing environment (preferred)
  • Understanding of SWI/MPI benefits and structure
  • Completion of Training Skills Workshop Course
  • Pass Level I Skills Gap Competency Test
  • Able to learn, perform, and train MPI/SWI's
  • Able to identify continuous improvement and cost savings opportunities
  • Basic knowledge level of Microsoft Office
  • Basic understanding of the 6S program
  • Able to communicate effectively with all levels of management
Preferred Qualifications

Prior experience in a manufacturing maintenance department, experience with Microsoft Office, and prior experience in a training department are preferred. Alignment to Panasonic's seven core principles is also desirable.
