The Mechanic's duties encompass all tasks generally recognized as Mechanic's work performed by the Company in its airline operations in and around Company shops, maintenance bases, and maintenance stations, including, but not limited to, checks, dismantling, overhauling, repairing, fabricating, assembling, welding, erecting, and painting all components of aircraft, aircraft engines, radio equipment, instruments, electrical systems, hydraulic systems, and machine tool work associated therewith.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Must be able to read and comprehend maintenance procedures manuals and related documents, wire diagrams, blueprints, Aircraft Change Orders, special items, and log write-ups.
Must be able to follow instructions, learn, understand, and comply with maintenance procedures, rules, and regulations.
Must be able to write accurate and complete summaries of work accomplished on required forms and sign to verify work was performed as indicated.
Must possess sufficient computer skills to access and complete computer-based training modules.
Must meet all training requirements in a timely manner.
Must be aware of hazardous situations and be able to handle emergencies as needed.
Must perform well in a fast-paced environment, working under specific deadlines and time constraints to carry out aircraft maintenance to meet the demands of the flight schedule.
Must work effectively with others as part of a team and perform well under stressful situations.
Must remain alert to moving vehicles or aircraft and use radio equipment effectively.
Must communicate information and instructions clearly in writing, verbally, or via radio equipment.
Provide friendly service and maintain positive relationships with all internal and external customers.
Work collaboratively to ensure the success of our Company.

Education Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED.

Experience Requirements:
2 years of Aircraft Maintenance Experience, including 1 year of Heavy Jet Aircraft Maintenance Experience (12,500 lbs or more).

Licensing/Certification:
Must possess a valid U.S. Driver's License.
Valid Federal A&P Certificates, as required by Federal Law.

Physical Abilities:
Must be able to perform all job functions within cramped and confined spaces and in hazardous areas.
Must be able to lift and move items of up to 50 pounds regularly.
Must be able to climb, bend, kneel, crawl, and stoop frequently and for extended periods.

Other Qualifications:
Must maintain a well-groomed appearance per Company standards as described in established guidelines.
Must be a U.S. citizen or have authorization to work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986.
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Must comply with Company attendance standards as described in established guidelines.
Must possess the tools required to perform routine aircraft maintenance.
Must be able to work rotating shifts, holidays, and overtime.
*Pay amount does not guarantee employment for any particular period. **401(k) match contributions are subject to Retirement Savings Plan vesting schedule and applicable IRS limits.
