Job Summary

Eco-Alpha Environmental and Engineering Services, Inc. is seeking a skilled Environmental Maintenance Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our facilities operations team, you will be responsible for performing general preventive maintenance and corrective repair of buildings, commercial systems, equipment, and grounds.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Comply with all applicable codes, regulations, and Company directives related to building operations and work safety.
  • Perform assigned day-to-day repairs, emergency, and preventive maintenance.
  • Complete maintenance and repair records as required.
  • Review assigned work orders and estimate time and materials needed to complete repairs.
  • Order necessary materials and supplies to complete all tasks.
  • Assist with installation and modification of building equipment systems.
  • Assist with troubleshooting and repairs of buildings and installed systems, including plumbing systems, kitchen equipment, roofs, drains, and HVAC.
  • Inspect new installations for compliance with building codes and safety regulations.
  • Maintain lighting systems throughout the facility, cleaning fixtures and replacing bulbs and lamps.
  • Maintain grounds of the facility or property, performing tasks such as raking, sweeping, leaf blowing, or snow removal.
  • Perform furniture assembly and locksmith tasks as needed.
  • Respond quickly to emergency situations, summoning additional assistance as needed.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 4 years of facilities operation and maintenance experience.
  • Mechanical knowledge, including machines and tools, and their uses, repair, and maintenance.
  • Commercial building and construction knowledge, including materials, methods, and tools involved in the construction or repair of buildings.
  • Public and personal safety knowledge, including relevant equipment, policies, procedures, and strategies to promote effective operations for the protection of people, property, and equipment.
  • Basic knowledge of computers, Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • EPA 608 Universal refrigerant certification.
  • Effective oral communication skills, with the ability to explain, educate, and transfer knowledge in an understandable and accurate manner.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in English communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Demonstrated interpersonal skills and capability to effectively communicate with all levels of the Company.
  • Ability to create and compose written materials with proper English grammar and punctuation.
  • Ability to communicate clearly with employees, management, and team members.
  • Ability to clearly and effectively convey information and ideas in both verbal and written form.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in a multicultural business environment.
