Facilities Maintenance Technician

We are seeking a skilled Facilities Repair Specialist to join our team at Old Dominion Freight Line. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in facilities maintenance and repair, with the ability to work efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced environment.
The Facilities Repair Specialist will be responsible for monitoring and ensuring the general maintenance and overall conditions and cleanliness of our service center facilities. This includes scheduling preventative maintenance and repairs, following daily, weekly, monthly, and annual preventative maintenance schedules, and keeping records of maintenance performed.
The successful candidate will also be responsible for providing emergency/unscheduled repairs as needed, arranging with outside repair vendors as necessary, and ensuring all fire extinguisher inspections are current. Additionally, they will be responsible for replacing water cooler, refrigerator, and building filters on schedule, and following all safety guidelines for equipment and materials used in daily work.
Requirements for the position include a high school degree or equivalent, 2 years of experience in facilities maintenance or a similar role, and the ability to work efficiently and effectively in stressful situations. Forklift experience is preferred.
