About the Role

The Domestic Customer Account Manager is a key position at AIT Worldwide Logistics, responsible for managing and expanding client relationships. This role requires excellent organizational and communication skills, as well as the ability to work in a high-volume and fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as the primary point of contact for larger, more complex or high-revenue producing customers, responsible for the outcome of assigned projects and customized client solutions.
  • Main point of contact for clients supporting all of their logistics needs from beginning to end, including:
    • Ability to quote and route freight across multiple transportation channels and services
    • Track and trace shipments daily
    • Able to troubleshoot and overcome operational challenges
    • Act as the local point-of-contact for all client inquiries, both operational and sales related
    • Provide timely analysis and monitor freight cost metrics
  • Work with multiple decision-makers within the assigned account to drive business development through multiple channels
  • Adhere to TSA and other government regulatory compliance standards with regards to booking, routing of all air, ground and sea cargo
  • Achieve service goals by working with various AIT internal groups to develop, implement and monitor logistic metrics
  • Work with the client on any and all reporting requests
  • Responsible for development and updating SOPs for various business segments
  • All other duties as needed
Requirements
  • Minimum basic qualifications: High school degree or GED required
  • Associates degree or higher preferred
  • 3-5 years previous Freight Forwarding experience
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, AS400 experience preferred, but not required
  • Ability to multi-task with strong attention to detail
  • Must be able to work in a team setting and autonomously to determine resources to meet and exceed company and customer expectations
  • Ability to problem solve and be solution oriented
  • Individual must have a self-starter mentality and is adaptive and flexible
  • Ability to calculate freight rates and amounts such percentages, area, circumference, and volume
