Role Overview

The Clinical Specialist for AF Solutions will be responsible for promoting and supporting the Watchman product line through effective education of current and prospective clients within a designated region.

This role involves delivering clinical education, formulating sales strategies, and providing support to meet or exceed sales targets and enhance revenue within assigned product lines. You will collaborate closely with a dynamic team to elevate the Watchman brand in your territory.

Key Responsibilities


• Educate clients on the advantages and appropriate clinical applications of our products by developing and delivering presentations and demonstrations using various formats (e.g., slides, manuals) to keep clients informed about the latest product developments and industry trends.

• Engage with existing and potential clients (e.g., healthcare professionals, hospital groups) by traveling to assess their clinical needs and demonstrate how our products can assist in achieving their objectives.

• Cultivate relationships with hospital staff at all levels, including physicians and administrators, to establish new contacts and identify key decision-makers for future sales opportunities.

• Address customer inquiries and concerns regarding products and services by devising innovative and practical solutions or collaborating with relevant personnel (e.g., sales, clinical research) to create optimal outcomes.

• Provide guidance to exempt specialists and supervisory staff, fostering a diverse workplace that allows all team members to contribute to their fullest potential in pursuit of organizational goals.

• Demonstrate effective leadership during transitions and build strategic partnerships to enhance the area and organization by leveraging relationships with peers and management across the WATCHMAN organization (Marketing, Training, Strategic Planning).

• Assist management in recruiting and mentoring talent within the organization, showcasing effective leadership during change.

• Implement and monitor strategies outlined in the quarterly action plan for the area, acting as a champion for market development, product launches, and competitive intelligence.

• Coordinate efforts with BSC sales management and representatives to build strategic partnerships that further organizational objectives.

• Develop relationships with key referring physicians and other influential healthcare professionals to promote market growth.

• Collaborate with sales management to proactively identify strategic initiatives that enhance the effectiveness of the area and organization.

Clinical Trial Responsibilities (If Applicable)


• Maintain knowledge of clinical trial protocols, standard operating procedures, and compliance with global regulatory requirements to meet corporate and departmental objectives.

• Manage clinical trial activities within your territory, including Interest Visits and Site Initiation Visits.

• Educate clinical investigators on trial protocols, processes, and investigational products.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience)
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in clinical cardiology, medical device sales, or related fields
• Demonstrated technical aptitude and ability to articulate complex product information

Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience in Structural Heart/Atrial Fibrillation
• Master's degree
