We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Motion Sensing Engineering Program Manager to join our team at Apple. As a key member of our engineering organization, you will play a critical role in defining and executing the motion sensing roadmap for our next-generation consumer electronics products.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and align multi-functional teams to deliver powerful sensing solutions and integrate them into new platforms.
- Act as a liaison between teams and ensure tight inter-team coordination and communication.
- Define the program plan/schedule and manage program execution.
- Help deliver executive communication/presentations and drive the decision-making process.
- Manage and support engineering development builds leading to mass production.
- Work with suppliers and system teams to proactively identify and resolve issues.
- Manage multiple suppliers and vendors in preparation for, and execution of, engineering development builds and new sensor development.
- Support internal proof-of-concept hardware and software developments for new application investigations.
- Effectively and consistently communicate overall program status to cross-functional partners and executive team.
- Product development or engineering experience shipping semi-conductor, sensing, MEMS or other related hardware.
- Experience in physics, mechanical, electrical, or material science engineering.
- Experience with interfacing micro-controllers with analog and digital sensors, embedded programming or signal processing.
- Experience with data collection, data analysis, and statistical analysis tools (e.g. Matlab, Python or JMP).
- Ability and willingness to travel internationally.
- Technical background (e.g. hardware development) with knowledge of sensing technologies and/or system sensor integration.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Ability to filter and distill relevant information for the right audience.
- Ability to navigate in ambiguity and uncertainty and see around the corner.
- Self-motivated and proactive with proven creative and critical thinking capabilities.
- Solid problem-solving, failure analysis, and debugging skills.
