Job Title: Distribution Supervisor

At DiaSorin, we are seeking a highly skilled Distribution Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our distribution department, you will be responsible for overseeing the supervision of the distribution department, providing order service to international diagnostic customers, and ensuring the shipment of materials is processed efficiently and accurately.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise the distribution department and ensure that all tasks are completed in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Provide input to management on staff performance, including all aspects of human resources requirements and training.
  • Comply with all policies and regulations, including FDA, ISO, IVDD, and CMD/CAS requirements.
  • Interact with QA, QC, Planner, Purchasing, and Customer Service as it relates to distribution.
  • Maintain stock of all necessary materials needed for daily shipments.
  • Assist with maintaining inventory accuracy to facilitate production and planning.
  • Reconcile inventory variances.
  • Lead the delivery of final products to shipping and distribution areas after quality release as needed.
  • Perform cycle count and/or physical count as needed.
  • Responsible for maintaining a safe and clean materials environment, including the warehouse and shipping areas.
  • Supervise individuals in direct contact with customers.
  • Provide feedback to international customers regarding order status.
  • Supervise the packaging of orders and client lab supplies.
  • Interface with Sales and Marketing and manage international and domestic contacts and customer needs.
  • Assume the highest level of customer service and integrity.
  • Provide service between customer and plant, sales administrative, and accounting.
  • Create policies and procedures to provide standard treatment of issues.
  • Issue materials to Company personnel.
  • Prepare export documents for clearance of international shipments.
  • Schedule shipments with freight forwarders.
  • Prepare documents for shipment of infectious and hazardous materials or dangerous goods.
Requirements:
  • H.S. Diploma or AA degree or equivalent experience with a minimum of 2 years' experience in materials functions.
  • Excellent communication and record-keeping skills.
  • Knowledge of current ERP systems as it relates to materials management.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, etc.) or equivalent.
  • Able to lead and work effectively in a team environment.
  • Able to identify and solve problems/analytical skills.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's.
  • Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance and international currency.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
