Position Overview:
Epic Cardiovascular Staffing is seeking an experienced ECLS Program Manager with a strong background in perfusion or advanced practice. This role is pivotal in providing both clinical and administrative leadership within the ECLS Department.

Key Responsibilities:
The ECLS Program Manager will be responsible for:
1. Overseeing the development and implementation of policies and procedures.
2. Ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and conducting annual reviews of departmental protocols.
3. Managing the Data Management Program and ensuring quality improvement initiatives are met on a monthly and quarterly basis.
4. Facilitating departmental meetings and conducting employee evaluations and competency assessments.
5. Generating necessary reports, memos, budgets, and inventory documentation.
6. Ensuring smooth daily operations of the department.
7. Providing in-service training and support to hospital staff.
8. Offering clinical guidance to junior perfusionists and addressing inquiries to the Director of Operations as needed.

Clinical Duties:
In a clinical capacity, the ECLS Program Manager will:
1. Operate the extracorporeal circuit and associated equipment effectively.
2. Manage patient care delivery in accordance with institutional policies.
3. Participate in patient assessments and collaborate with the ECLS team to optimize therapy.
4. Review lab results and implement treatment protocols as directed by the attending physician.
5. Adjust circuit parameters to maintain patient stability.
6. Troubleshoot circuit issues and replace components as necessary.
7. Engage in data collection and research activities relevant to ECLS.
8. Attend ongoing training sessions to stay updated on ECLS practices.

Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess:
1. Certification as a Clinical Perfusionist, Registered Nurse, or Registered Respiratory Therapist.
2. A minimum of two years of experience in intensive care or a related field.
3. Completion of an ECLS Training Course and successful passing of the Epic Cardiovascular clinical assessment.
4. At least 60 hours of clinical pump experience.
5. A comprehensive understanding of ECLS circuit components and the ability to perform under pressure.
