Job Summary

Teal Shores is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Executive Director to join our team. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for coordinating and managing office functions, as well as assisting in the overall operation of our community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Resident Care and Satisfaction (20%): Assist with providing high-quality resident relations and care management, participate in problem resolution and conflict management, and develop and implement program activities to improve resident satisfaction.
  • Occupancy and Marketing (20%): Assist in achieving marketing and leasing goals, participate in providing tours and marketing the community to external businesses and prospective residents, and ensure building preparation for tours and model apartments are ready to show.
  • Revenue and Budget Management (15%): Assist with maintaining occupancy, revenue, and expenses within budgeted parameters, and help manage financial outcomes, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, and payroll.
  • Staff Management (15%): Assist in the management of the overall operation of the community, supervise multiple departments, participate in interviewing, hiring, training, and development of staff, and maintain proper staffing coverage for caregivers, maintenance, culinary, and housekeeping needs.
  • Compliance (15%): Demonstrate knowledge of and enforce all WI State Chapter DHS 83 and 89 guidelines, company policies and procedures, building regulations, lease agreements, and governmental requirements, and ensure compliance with OSHA, Workers' Compensation, and other reporting requirements.
  • Quality, Safety, and Physical Condition (10%): Work with the Executive Director to ensure internal and external property areas meet company safety and physical condition standards, conduct regular inspections of the building, and maintain safety and security of residents and employees.
  • Other Duties (5%): Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Associates Degree in Healthcare Administration or Nursing or higher
  • Previous Assisted Living (RCAC or CBRF) experience desired, as is familiarity with State of WI Chapter DHS 83 and 89 guidelines
  • Previous experience working with resident satisfaction, budgetary and regulatory compliance, staffing, and physical plant oversight
  • Previous supervisory experience is preferred
