Position Summary:
The Animal Care Coordinator plays a vital role in the daily operations of our daycare and boarding services. Responsibilities include the care, feeding, medication administration, and sanitation of our animal residents. This position involves engaging with dogs during playtime, maintaining cleanliness, performing laundry duties, bathing, feeding, walking, observing canine behavior, and administering medications as needed. Additionally, you will assist in inventory management and support veterinary staff with various tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the care and well-being of animals in our facility.
  • Maintain accurate records of daycare registrations, medications, and any behavioral observations.
  • Ensure a clean and safe environment through effective cleaning and disinfecting practices.
  • Monitor and report any health concerns or behavioral issues to the veterinary team.
  • Assist with the restocking of supplies and equipment as necessary.

Qualifications:
We seek candidates who possess:

  • A solid understanding of cleaning protocols and animal care.
  • A minimum of 6 months of experience in a similar animal care role.
  • Knowledge of canine body language and behavior.
  • Skills in animal restraint and handling.
  • The ability to perform physical tasks associated with animal care.
  • Compassion and patience when dealing with animals in distress.
  • The capability to follow both verbal and written instructions accurately.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to maintain effective relationships with team members.
