About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Strategic Engagement Lead to join our Hematology team at Takeda Oncology. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in developing and implementing commercial strategies to drive business growth and improve patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify and prioritize Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and develop robust cross-functional engagement plans to drive commercial success.
  • Lead Commercial Ad Boards to generate insights and inform commercial strategies.
  • Utilize Veeva Link tools to elevate planning and engagement efforts.
  • Develop and maintain Speaker bureaus, including communication and relationship partner management.
  • Partner with marketing and sales teams on Peer-to-Peer Strategy, including In Practice Programs, congress podiums, and sponsorships.
  • Drive strategic approach to tier 2 and 3 congress strategy, including pre-congress engagement, at-congress engagements, and post-congress insight generation.
  • Identify key podium opportunities at tier 3 congresses.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify KOL and Health Care Provider (HCP) engagement opportunities.
  • Be data-driven and ensure initiatives have measurable impact.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA or other advanced degree preferred.
  • 7-10 years' experience in Sales, Account Management, and/or Marketing Product Management required.
  • 5+ years' relevant therapeutic oncology or rare disease experience with increasing job responsibilities preferred.
  • Some marketing experience or cross-matrix project leadership required; implementation of marketing programs and patient education at the local level preferred.
  • Experience working in Oncology or rare disease therapeutic areas preferred.
  • Prior experience managing marketing/advertising/promotion budgets preferred.
  • Active Hematology/Oncology KOL relationships is a plus.
  • Successful track record in pharmaceutical marketing or equivalent.
  • Candidates must possess the ability to proactively analyze business problems, identify key issues, develop solutions, implement tactical programs, and design metrics to measure business impact.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to visualize, develop, and implement effective marketing tactics.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate, influence, and lead with both internal and external customers.
  • Proven track record of collaboration working with cross-functional groups made up of one or more of the following: Marketing, Marketing Effectiveness, Reimbursement, Sales, Global Medical Affairs, Market Research, or Finance.
  • Dynamic, self-starter with ability to effectively work remotely.
