Job Title: Director of Strategic Programs and Operations

At The Margaret Fuller Neighborhood House Inc., we are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Director of Strategic Programs and Operations to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of individuals and families in our community.

About the Role:

The Director of Strategic Programs and Operations will play a pivotal role in advancing our mission by spearheading initiatives that enhance community engagement, program management, and client support. This role will oversee all programs and program operations, ensuring alignment with our organizational goals and objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Staff Development and Community Engagement: Lead the development of all programs, supervise the program team, and lead community engagement initiatives and partnerships.
  • Program Management: Oversee the planning, implementation, and evaluation of all programs and initiatives, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
  • Client Support and Outreach Strategy: Develop a client outreach strategy focused on engaging existing and new clients, providing compassionate and culturally competent support, and connecting them with resources.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with staff, volunteers, and partners to identify emerging needs and opportunities, developing innovative solutions and programming to address them.
  • Data Management: Maintain accurate records and data related to community engagement activities, program outcomes, and client interactions, utilizing this information to inform decision-making and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Community/Organizational Event Development and Support: Assist with the development and implementation of special events, such as the Annual Gala and other community-focused initiatives.
  • Program Evaluation: Develop and implement a program evaluation tool to assess the success and effectiveness of all programs.
  • Grant and Report Writing: Assist with grant writing and contract reports, ensuring timely and accurate submissions.
  • Community Partnerships and Relationship Management: Develop and maintain new and existing programmatic partnerships, fostering strong relationships with community organizations and stakeholders.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in social work, community development, or a related field (master's degree preferred and not required).
  • Minimum of 4 years of proven experience in community engagement, program development, program management, program evaluation, and staff supervision.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and trust with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex information to diverse audiences.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
  • Commitment to social justice, equity, and inclusion, with a passion for empowering marginalized communities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with database management systems.
