Position Overview:
We are in search of a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to lead our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a Professional Engineering License (PE) and have a strong background in Mechanical/HVAC Systems Design, along with experience in mentoring junior engineers and engaging with clients.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical or Architectural Engineering
  • Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) in Florida, or ability to obtain reciprocity
  • 7-10+ years of experience in mechanical engineering and design, particularly in HVAC systems
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects while leading a team
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with strong verbal and written communication abilities
  • Experience in designing Mechanical/HVAC systems for various project types, including academic, commercial, and healthcare facilities
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, energy/load simulation software, and Microsoft Office Suite

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee project management to achieve objectives; plan, organize, and lead technical projects and teams
  • Cultivate and maintain client relationships; act as a liaison between clients, agencies, subcontractors, and the design team
  • Identify and implement cost-effective solutions for clients; participate in project pursuits and interviews
  • Ensure timely delivery of accurate and complete project documentation; assist with construction administration tasks
  • Design and produce documents to meet project timelines, including equipment sizing and system layouts
  • Review mechanical documents for conflicts across disciplines; coordinate with architects and engineers
  • Conduct quality assurance and quality control on the work of mechanical engineers and technicians
