Job Overview

The Retail Sales Representative role at General Mills is a key position that drives sales and profitability by delivering exceptional in-store execution and building strong relationships with key decision-makers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Field Selling (70% of time): Maximize incremental sales and displays by observing in-store opportunities and selling to key decision-makers.
  • Problem Solving & Analytics (10% of time): Develop foundational selling skills and product knowledge through immersive field experiences and utilize analytical data to drive sales at the store level.
  • Executional Excellence (20% of time): Take personal accountability for results, understand customer needs, and communicate market insights from the store level to management.

Additional Benefits

Minimum Qualifications
  • Must live in a 15-mile radius of the respective zip codes or be willing to self-relocate within 30 days of the start.
  • Passion to sell/represent General Mills and our top consumer food brands.
  • A valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record.
  • Relevant work experience with a High School Diploma/equivalent.
  • Proficient ability to use tablets (i.e. iPad) and Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with internal and external partners.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Industry experience in sales, customer-facing sales, or other relevant experience.
  • Ability to build relationships with key decision-makers across an organization.
  • Bachelor's Degree.
