Job Title: Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor to join our team in St. Helens, Oregon. As a key member of our Vocational Rehabilitation Team, you will work with individuals with disabilities to help them gain, maintain, or advance employment through our rehabilitation process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct initial interviews and eligibility determinations to identify clients' employment goals and barriers.
  • Develop and implement individualized employment plans, including job placement, job coaching, and skill assessments.
  • Provide culturally sensitive and effective services to clients, recognizing and respecting their worth and dignity.
  • Collaborate with local employers, community partners, and other stakeholders to provide job placement and employment support services.
  • Represent the agency in the community, maintaining working relationships with various organizations and attending community events.

Requirements:

  • A master's degree in Rehabilitation Counseling or a related field, or certification as a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor (CRC), Certified Insurance Rehabilitation Specialist (CIRS), or Certified Disability Management Specialist (CDMS).
  • At least six months of full-time work experience providing vocational rehabilitation-related services.
  • Bilingual skills in English and Spanish are encouraged, but not required.
