About the Role

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform diagnostic radiology examinations in accordance with department policies, procedures, and protocols.
  • Prepare patients for procedures by explaining the process in a clear and concise manner, ensuring a comfortable and calm environment.
  • Position patients properly to obtain the best image, utilizing proper positioning and placement protocols.
  • Set equipment to obtain optimal density, detail, and contrast of the area being imaged.
  • Take preventative steps to avoid unnecessary exposure to radiation, adhering to Health and Safety Policies and Procedures.
  • Assist in record maintenance and statistics as requested.
  • Recognize, report, and record observations and care provided in compliance with SCHS policies and regulatory agencies.
  • Stock unit, transport patients, and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
  • Clean equipment and identify maintenance needs.
Requirements
  • 1 year minimum experience as a Radiology Technologist.
  • Oregon Board of Medical Imaging License.
  • ARRT certification.
  • BLS certification.
Work Environment

This position provides coverage in the OR and ER, with variable shifts, including weekends and call averages one night every other week with weekends every 4th. Floating to other units/departments is required.
