This position is responsible for performing a variety of radiological technical procedures specific to the diagnosis and treatment of breast disease in a high-volume outpatient setting.
Key Responsibilities- Producing high-quality radiographic images while interacting with patients in a caring and comforting manner.
- Jointly responsible for performing required quality control activities as mandated by the Mammography Quality Standards Act (MQSA) and the FDA.
- Dependent on location, may be required to utilize general radiography skills to perform diagnostic radiology exams.
- Successful completion of a formal radiologic technology training program, which meets the requirements for registry by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
- Washington Radiologic Technologist upon hire.
- National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire.
- National Registered Technologist - Radiography - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists upon hire.
- National Registered Technologist - Mammography within 1 year of hire.
- Dependent on location, prior general radiography experience may be required.
- 2 years of full-time mammography experience.
