The Bakery Operator plays a crucial role in our production process, responsible for operating automated equipment, determining equipment failures, and performing minor adjustments or contacting relevant personnel for assistance.

This position requires flexibility and adaptability, as the Bakery Operator may be required to rotate job assignments throughout production and packaging, monitor equipment and food according to standards, and make real-time decisions affecting order fulfillment and food quality.

In addition to quality and compliance, the Bakery Operator is responsible for maintaining a safe work environment for themselves, colleagues, and customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate and adjust machinery and equipment to ensure accuracy and proper food specifications
  • Ensure work areas, machinery, and equipment are clean and organized, adhering to applicable safety rules at all times
  • Assemble, set up, start, and stop equipment for start-ups, changeovers, and line-specific needs
  • Continuously comply with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)
  • Adhere to production work schedules, running orders, and recipes
  • Perform other duties as assigned or required
  • Communicate with supervision and colleagues about manufacturing process information
  • Know all equipment online and effectively work machinery while colleagues are on break
  • Fulfill gaps where necessary for absent colleagues

Requirements:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred
  • 3 years of manufacturing experience is preferred
  • Equipment and product knowledge is essential
  • Equipment and product troubleshooting ability is required
  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Shift: 3rd
