Division Chief of Pediatric Pulmonology and Sleep Medicine

Virginia Commonwealth University Health System (VCU Health) is seeking a highly qualified Division Chief of Pediatric Pulmonology and Sleep Medicine to lead our esteemed Division of Pediatric Pulmonology and Sleep Medicine. As a key member of our Department of Pediatrics, you will be responsible for providing exceptional clinical care, advancing research, and fostering a culture of excellence in teaching and education.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide leadership and vision for the Division of Pediatric Pulmonology and Sleep Medicine
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to advance clinical care, research, and education
  • Collaborate with faculty and staff to achieve divisional goals and objectives
  • Recruit and retain top talent in pediatric pulmonology and sleep medicine
  • Develop and manage budgets to ensure efficient use of resources
Requirements:
  • MD/DO degree
  • Residency training in Pediatrics
  • Fellowship training in Pediatric Pulmonary medicine
  • Eligible for VA medical license
  • Board certified in Pediatric Pulmonology
  • Demonstrated experience working in and fostering a diverse faculty, staff, and student environment
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Teaching experience at the undergraduate or graduate level in a related discipline
  • Track record of external funding
  • Administrative experience
  • Experience successfully mentoring junior colleagues and trainees in all parts of the academic mission
