Dentistry Faculty Position

We are seeking an open rank General Dentistry faculty member to join our team at the Dental College of Georgia at Augusta University. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching comprehensive care/general dentistry courses at the pre-doctoral and post-doctoral level, participating in the faculty practice, and engaging in research activities.
Key Responsibilities- Oversight of students' clinical activities, including treatment planning, professionalism, and ethics, and private practice instruction.
- Patient care in the DPG faculty practice, maintaining quality standards for EHR in compliance with DPG policy.
- Participation in Department, DCG, and AU Committees.
- Scholarly research.
- Must be a graduate of an ADA-accredited dental school or have 2 years of postgraduate training and be licensed in or eligible for licensure by the Georgia Board of Dentistry.
- Experience as a Prosthodontist.
- Assistant Professor: Early level career as a faculty member with background, education, and training consistent with the position requirements.
- Associate Professor: Mid level career faculty member with at least five years at the rank of Assistant Professor with background, education, and training consistent with the position requirements.
- Professor: Senior level career faculty member with at least five years at the rank of Associate Professor with background, education, and training consistent with the position requirements.
- Previous teaching experience.
- Experience with digital dentistry or prior experience in dental education and working knowledge of practice management.
- Digital dentistry.
- Significant clinical experience, post-graduate training in prosthodontics.
This position is fiscal year based and works year-round. The intended work commitment or full-time equivalent (FTE) for this position is 1.0 and considered full-time. Rank and salary are determined at the time of hire and are based on a variety of factors including but not limited to experience, education, credentials, specialty, training, etc. while also considering internal equity and market data.
