Dentistry Faculty Member

We are seeking a highly qualified faculty member to join our team in the Department of Oral Biology and Diagnostic Sciences at Augusta University. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching and mentoring students in the Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) program, with a focus on Oral Medicine.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement curriculum for Oral Medicine courses, ensuring alignment with the college's mission and accreditation standards.
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure delivery of the DMD educational program in Oral Medicine, including curriculum planning, implementation, evaluation, reporting, and review.
- Provide guidance and oversight for the development, administration, and analysis of Oral Medicine courses.
- Monitor student completion of the DMD Oral Medicine program's didactic and clinical expectations, and assist with the collection and management of confidential and sensitive assessment data.
- Collaborate with colleagues to manage and oversee Oral Medicine Clinics, providing guidance for DMD students and working collaboratively to provide guidance regarding consultations and referrals.
- Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) or Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from an ADA-accredited dental school, or equivalent.
- Postgraduate training in Oral Medicine, including a certificate from a CODA-accredited residency program.
- Experience as a faculty member in Oral Medicine or Oral Pathology, with a strong background in teaching and research.
- Board certification in Oral Medicine is preferred.
- Experience in curriculum development and implementation.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, faculty, and staff.
