Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Resident OSP Engineer to join our team at CHR Solutions. As a key member of our OSP Construction team, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful execution of fiber optic cable placement, fiber drop installations, and associated construction activities for our assigned OSP projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Management: Manage construction project guidelines and maintain all project documentation in accordance with CHR Solutions operations guidelines.
  • Inspection and Quality Control: Inspect workmanship of contractor construction activities to ensure compliance with plans and specifications.
  • Contractor Coordination: Coordinate and document communications with contractors and clients to ensure compliance with contract terms.
  • Documentation and Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate records and input daily production metrics.
  • Team Leadership: Manage, assist in training, and serve as the main point of contact for OSP Technicians and Inspectors on assigned projects.
  • Safety and Compliance: Maintain compliance with current state and federal safety guidelines and carry out all work in a safe manner.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Communicate daily with manager, peers, and project management team in person or via phone and email.
Requirements
  • Education: High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years related work experience with OSP Construction, including aerial, underground, and buried applications.
  • Skills: Strong understanding of OSP fiber optic aerial and buried construction, RUS Units, and construction procedures.
  • Personal Qualities: Honesty and integrity, professionalism, attitude, and respectful treatment of others, commitment to innovation and continuous quality, and drive to take initiative and be motivated and ambitious.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Supervisory or Managerial Experience: Supervisory or managerial experience with small to mid-sized teams.
  • OSP Fiber Design Knowledge: Strong understanding of OSP Fiber Design.
  • Right-of-Way Permitting Guidelines: Proficiency in understanding right-of-way permitting guidelines.
