Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Clinical Support Specialist to join our team at Lancaster General Health in a part-time position. This role involves providing essential support in a family medicine practice, including patient preparation, administering injections, and assisting with minor procedures.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in medical assistance and excellent communication skills. As a member of our team, you will be responsible for maintaining patient confidentiality, performing Point of Care Testing, and ensuring optimal patient care by coordinating with healthcare providers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepares patients for visits by using appropriate rooming standards tools
  • Administers injections and medications as prescribed by providers
  • Assists providers with various procedures and exams
  • Performs Point of Care Testing and removes sutures and changes dressings as needed
  • Provides clinical advice by phone or electronic correspondence
Requirements
  • Medical Assistant Certification from an accredited institution
  • CPR Certification required within 30 days of hire
  • Valid driver's license (for Regional Positions only)
  • A health care provider in good standing with Medicare, Medicaid, and other federal and state health insurance programs

Estimated Salary: $40,000 - $50,000 per year based on location and experience.
