Job Summary:

The Front Desk Representative is responsible for providing exceptional service to all guests during check-in, throughout their stay, and at checkout, while maximizing room revenue and occupancy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Answer inquiries from guests regarding dining options, transportation, entertainment, and other local amenities.
  • Follow all cash handling and credit policies to ensure accurate and secure transactions.
  • Stay up-to-date on all room rates, packages, and special promotions to provide guests with the best options.
  • Be aware of all in-house groups and events to ensure seamless service.
  • Process room reservations and check-ins with attention to detail and a focus on guest satisfaction.
  • Utilize hospitality terminology to effectively communicate with guests and colleagues.
  • Be prepared to handle emergency situations and provide assistance as needed.
  • Provide exceptional service during check-ins and checkouts, ensuring a smooth and efficient experience for guests.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to hotel standards.
  • Assist guests with safe deposit boxes and other requests as needed.

Requirements:

  • College coursework in a related field is a plus.
  • Previous experience in a hotel or related field is preferred.
  • High School diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Proficiency in computer systems and software is necessary.
  • Excellent customer service skills and a warm, friendly demeanor are essential.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines is crucial.
  • Must be able to maintain regular attendance and adhere to hotel standards.
  • High standards of personal appearance and grooming are expected, including wearing the proper uniform and nametag.
  • Compliance with hotel regulations and policies is mandatory.
  • Ability to cross-train in other hotel-related areas is a plus.
  • Confidentiality and discretion are essential in this role.
  • Initiative and a proactive approach to guest and operational needs are required.
