Position Overview:
As a vital member of our healthcare team, you will execute technical and diagnostic imaging tasks under the supervision of a physician or radiologist. Your role is essential in delivering prompt and high-quality services to patients, ensuring their comfort and addressing any inquiries throughout the imaging process. This position is set within an outpatient clinic environment.

Core Responsibilities:

Essential Duties
  • Conduct imaging procedures in accordance with physician directives, regulatory standards, and departmental protocols.
    • Prepare patients and manage workflow efficiently.
    • Verify patient identity using two identifiers.
    • Document all relevant aspects of the imaging process.
    • Engage with patients, addressing their needs and concerns.
    • Ensure a safe environment for patients during procedures.
    • May perform dual-energy X-ray absorptiometry (DEXA) scans.
  • Execute imaging procedures with precision.
    • Exhibit thorough knowledge of all diagnostic equipment.
    • Collect pertinent information to aid in image interpretation.
    • Confirm that all images are accurately transferred to the imaging storage and retrieval system.
  • Provide accurate administrative support.
    • Utilize Excellian (electronic medical record).
    • Understand the Enterprise Medical Imaging/Picture Archiving and Communication System.
    • Ensure all documentation is complete following procedures.
    • Maintain adequate medical and radiological supplies.
  • Collaborate with supervisors and team members.
    • Report any issues, concerns, or suggestions.
    • Offer assistance and share information to support team efforts.
    • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program required
  • 0 to 2 years of experience in Radiology preferred
  • Registered Technologist - Must be registered with The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) upon hire
  • BLS Tier 1 - Basic Life Support - Multisource certification required upon hire
