Responsibilities
  • Perform technical and diagnostic imaging functions under the direction of a provider or radiologist.
  • Provide timely and quality services to patients, interacting with them to welcome, explain, and respond to questions and concerns during and following the procedure.
  • Work in an outpatient clinic setting, completing procedures in compliance with physician orders, regulatory requirements, and department guidelines.
  • Document all needed aspects of the procedure, maintaining a safe patient environment in the procedure area.
  • Perform dual-energy X-ray absorptiometry (DEXA) scans, and verify all imaging has appropriately transferred to the imaging storage and retrieval system.
  • Provide accurate clerical function, using Excellian (electronic medical record) and understanding the Enterprise Medical Imaging/Picture Archiving and Communication System.
  • Communicate with supervisor and team, reporting problems, issues, or ideas, and providing assistance, ideas, and information to support the work of others.
Requirements
  • Vocational or Technical Training Graduate of accredited Radiologic Technology program.
  • Registered Technologist - The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) required upon hire.
  • BLS Tier 1 - Basic Life Support - Multisource required upon hire.
Physical Demands
  • Medium Work*: Lifting weight Up to 32 lbs. occasionally (*Allina Safe Patient Moving Policy), Up to 25 lbs. frequently.
