Job Summary

The Colville Tribes are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Laundry Department Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our laundry department, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and sanitation of our facilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform daily laundry operations, including sorting, washing, drying, and folding of linens.
  • Maintain a clean and organized laundry area, adhering to all safety and sanitation protocols.
  • Ensure an adequate supply of linens is maintained at all times.
  • Collaborate with the Maintenance Supervisor to resolve any laundry-related issues.
  • Participate in ongoing training and education to stay up-to-date on best practices and regulations.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Knowledge of long-term care settings and laundry practices preferred.
  • Ability to read and write, as well as follow written and oral instructions.
  • Ability to lift and move up to 35 pounds, as well as push and pull heavy loads.
  • Successful clearance of a Criminal History background inquiry.

Working Conditions

This is a full-time position that requires the ability to work independently and as part of a team. The successful candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain a high level of attention to detail.
