Housekeeping Assistant

Job Summary

The Colville Tribes is seeking a skilled Housekeeper to join our team at the Convalescent Center in Nespelem, Washington. As a Housekeeper, you will play a vital role in maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for our residents.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform daily housekeeping tasks, including cleaning and disinfecting surfaces, emptying trash and recyclables, and restocking supplies.
• Operate and maintain housekeeping equipment, such as vacuum cleaners and mops.
• Assist with laundry and linen services.
• Participate in infection control and prevention initiatives.
• Collaborate with the Lead Housekeeper and other team members to ensure a smooth and efficient housekeeping operation.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Knowledge of housekeeping practices and long-term care settings.
• Ability to follow written and oral instructions and make independent decisions.
• Janitorial experience preferred.
• Ability to push, pull, move, and/or lift a minimum of 30 pounds and push, pull, move, and/or carry said weight a minimum of 20 feet.

Working Conditions

The Housekeeper will work in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions and deadlines. The ability to work independently and as part of a team is essential.
