The Short Notice Laundry Aide plays a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the laundry department within the facility. This position is essential for ensuring that all linens and garments are processed efficiently and in compliance with health and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute daily laundry operations while adhering to facility standards.
- Uphold a clean, safe, and hygienic environment throughout the laundry area.
- Guarantee a sufficient supply of linens to meet the needs of residents.
Qualifications:
Education and Experience:
- A High School Diploma or G.E.D. is mandatory.
Skills and Competencies:
- Knowledge of laundry practices in a long-term care environment is essential.
- Proficient reading and writing skills are required.
- Ability to follow both written and verbal instructions, particularly regarding the safe mixing of cleaning agents.
- Physical capability to lift up to 35 pounds to a height of 2 feet and transport the weight over a distance of 15 feet.
- Ability to work independently and manage tasks effectively.
- A clear criminal history background check, with no felony convictions, is necessary.
