Customer Operations Specialist

The Customer Operations Specialist position is tasked with addressing client requirements on-site, managing carrier interactions, and overseeing tracking and issue resolution. This role demands professionalism in dealings with both clients and carriers, ensuring that their daily operations are managed effectively under the guidance of management, while consistently surpassing client expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

Create new shipments tailored to client specifications and established operational protocols Monitor load acceptance and Electronic Data Interface to guarantee freight requests are fulfilled Schedule and coordinate appointments for freight pick-up and delivery Optimize the utilization of our dedicated fleet of drivers Cultivate robust relationships with carriers to ensure exceptional service and communication Formulate both immediate and long-term strategies with carriers by assessing their capacity needs and aligning them with consistent opportunities Engage with the carrier network, including rate discussions, shipment specifications, and load tendering Acquire and input carrier quotes and capacity data into the system Retrieve tracking updates through partner carrier systems and relay these updates to both external and internal stakeholders via Hub's systems Identify potential operational challenges and initiate the resolution process collaboratively with team members Inform team members and management about operational challenges as necessary Oversee daily operations to positively influence Truck Brokerage KPIs and ensure adherence to customer scorecard metrics Must operate in accordance with the Truck Brokerage Rules of Engagement. Responsibilities may be assigned or modified as needed Assist with various projects as short-term company initiatives emerge

Required Qualifications:

Extensive experience in customer service or call center environments is essential Strong comprehension of transportation and logistics principles, as well as supply chain dynamics Familiarity with the flatbed sector is mandatory Proficiency with DAT, Internet Truck Stop, and other predictive market tools is necessary Demonstrate the highest level of professionalism while engaging with valued clients Must be a proactive individual with the ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with clients, carriers, and team members to achieve results Possess problem-solving abilities with the capacity to prioritize tasks to meet team and organizational objectives using sound business judgment. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required Proficient in various Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Word
