About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Perception Engineer to join our Advanced Safety and User Experience segment at Aptiv PLC. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for shaping the future of mobility by developing cutting-edge radar perception technologies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Explore and prototype new sensor fusion and tracking technologies to enhance our perception roadmap.
  • Work closely with global teams to generate and implement perception solutions for L1-L3 autonomous driving systems.
  • Design, integrate, test, and release algorithms to internal and external customers.
  • Collaborate with downstream teams to support the development of L2+ and L3 autonomous driving systems.
  • Provide technical support for evaluating Aptiv's next-generation radar sensor.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in engineering or a relevant field.
  • 3+ years' experience in sensor fusion and object tracking.
  • Strong understanding of state estimation and data association algorithms.
  • Critical and proactive thinker with excellent problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
  • Knowledge of Machine Learning and radar signal processing.
  • Proficient in C++ and Python programming languages.
  • Experience with version control and issue tracking tools on large collaborative projects.
Preferred Qualifications
  • PhD in Engineering or a relevant field.
  • Good understanding of ASPICE.
  • Knowledge of vehicle dynamics.
  • Familiarity with Matlab and ROS.
  • Experience in code profiling and optimization.
  • Experience with DevOps tools.
